Have you contacted your local politico yet? I did. Wasn’t easy. Even with the help of Wikipedia.org, who had a great idea and helped all of us expedite our concerns, reaching one of my 3 alleged points of contact with my governing body was eyeopening. When trying to contact Lindsay Graham via his website, I was redirected to another local politician. I’m deliberately not using names in case SOPA passes and they start collecting “traitors”. I’d “lol” but it’s not funny to me.
Okay, this cahnges things a bit. As I am writing this I see a email from Lindsay Graham. Well, let’s not dress it up; this is a form reply. As fits it’s nature, it does not cover anything I said in my correspondence. So don’t bother checking the “would like a reply” mail because you won’t get one. And since it is a form letter I don’t have a qualm about sharing it here.
Thank you for taking the time to contact me. I appreciate the opportunity to hear from you.
In spite of the high volume of mail I receive daily, I look forward to reviewing your correspondence and providing a personal response as soon as possible.
As we continue our work in the 112th Congress, I look forward to supporting our troops in the War on Terror, repairing our economy and creating jobs, strengthening Social Security, lowering the tax burden on American families, and making the federal government more accountable and efficient.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if I may be of further assistance to you or your family, and if you need immediate assistance, please call my office at 202-224-5972. If your correspondence pertains to a scheduling request, please fax your request to (202) 224-3808.
Sincerely,
Lindsey Graham

So there you have it. In under 5 minutes Senator Graham let me know he not only doesn’t reply to his own mail but he also cares so little that he has a form letter that is merely a sales pitch for his re-election. Guess I’ll add him to my list of guys who have proven they are better suited to job at Arby’s. And is it jsut me or does it smack of arrogance that he feels his form letter suffices to cover all issues current and future. No need to update the form letter, Lindsay. You won’t be around to use it much longer I’m sure. As soon as your constituants realize you can’t even handle email they won’t want you at the helm of a ship sailing into legislation regarding technology. I wonder if mechanics who never moved beyond regular gasoline and “carbs” (cars not fitness) still have jobs?
